By Aaron Humes: The San Pedro Town branch of Scotiabank will remain closed until Sunday, August 8, the bank confirmed in a statement released this evening.

According to the bank, an employee has tested positive for COVID-19 and all staff members are in self-isolation and being tested for the virus.

Bank Managing Director, Sarah Hobbs, reiterated the health and safety of employees and customers remains paramount.

The bank was first closed on August 4 for sanitization after some staff members exhibited flu-like symptoms.

Customers are advised to continue using Scotia Online Banking or the mobile app as well as the automated Banking machine and take their own continuing precautions to remain safe.
