By Aaron Humes: According to Attorney General Michael Peyrefitte, it was necessary to put the entire country under a State of Emergency to institute curfew and other restrictions.
But you would be mistaken, he added, if you took it as an excuse to continue reckless behavior.
A curfew is instituted from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Sundays and Thursdays, and midnight to 5 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with exceptions similar to those in lockdown.
Public gatherings are limited to 25 people, except for those sharing a common address.
Discos, bars, rum shops and night clubs will be closed.
Restaurants are open for dining and selling of liquor with food.
Casinos can stay open but no smoking or drinking is allowed and mask wearing and social distancing will be enforced.
Generally, mask wearing is mandatory except for children under six.
