La Luz del Mundo Church to host Holy Convocation

Posted: Friday, August 7, 2020. 11:17 am CST.

By BBN Staff: La Luz del Mundo Church will host its great celebration: the Holy Convocation, to commemorate the death and glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ on August 9 to 15, 2020.

Due to preventative measures brought forth by COVID-19, the 82nd edition of the Holy Convocation will be held remotely and through digital platforms, so that the members of the Church around the world can participate from their homes in the doctrinal expositions, the subjects for reflection.

The special service of Holy Supper will be held on August 14.

The church says that the event will keep its essence: spirituality and communion.

In an environment of respect, piety, and religiosity that this great celebration demands.

Transmissions will be made in Spanish, English, French, Portuguese and Italian, as well as in ASL and LSM sign languages.

There will also be the participation of a digital choir that, for two months, has been preparing its repertoire, which will also include voices from the main native languages in Mexico, such as Nahuatl, Mayan and Otomí.

The Church says that the topics to be presented during the Holy Convocation have the purpose of contributing to the strengthening and consolidation of principles and values, to continue being good Christians for God and good citizens of the world.

The expositions will be given by pastors of the Church from different countries.

The platforms where the event will be broadcast are: • Website: www.lldm.org • Youtube: La Luz del Mundo Channel – Ortodoxia https://cutt.ly/Gdzj6dd • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ LaLuzDelMundo.org/ • Audio: https://m.soundcloud.com/laluzdelmundo/ Publications on digital networks will be accompanied by hashtags #LaLuzDelMundo, # SantaCena2020, #WeAreLight and #ElAmorNosUne.

In rural and more remote regions that do not have access to any type of network, households will meet at designated times to unite spiritually with their brothers around the world.

Since March 16, the Church temporarily closed its temples throughout the world, and so far, will remain so until there are guarantees to safeguard the integrity of the population.

The church has since broadcasted its prayer meetings three times a day, so the use of technologies for the participation of the Holy Convocation will not be an obstacle.

The meetings will be broadcast openly so that anyone who wants to join anywhere in the world can participate in this celebration, which is a call to communion
