By BBN Staff: St. Peter Claver Parish in Punta Gorda, announced several changes to its regular church services and special events in accordance with the regulations under the recently-declared state of emergency.
The parish took to its social media account today to note that all masses / liturgy celebrations (funeral, wedding, etc.) will be limited to 25 people only.
“Effective immediately parishioners will need to call the parish office at 722-2004 to reserve a space for any of the Sunday masses,” the parish said.
The parish also noted that weekday and Sunday mass will proceed as scheduled, with full social distancing to be observed and that all attendees must wear a mask as well as sanitize their hands before entering the church.
“Children under 12 will not be allowed in church. We recommend for our senior and vulnerable members to remain at home,” the parish added.
The parish also called on its members and the wider faith-based community to continue praying for everyone affected by the COVID-19
pandemic.
