By BBN Staff: In a statement released a short while ago, the Ministry of Health reported that a total of 32 new cases of COVID-19 was confirmed today, bringing the total COVID-19 cases in Belize to 146. A record number of 214 tests were also processed today.
The Ministry said that the full breakdown of the cases is being worked on but for now the preliminary data shows:
– 1 case in Stann Creek related to the cluster in Santa Martha
– 1 case in Cayo which is a repatriated case
– 3 cases in Corozal which is one single cluster related to one of the cases in San Pedro
– 10 cases in Shipyard that is related to a cluster identified earlier in the week
According to the statement, “the majority of the remaining cases are for now related to the two clusters in San Pedro”.
The cases confirmed today and the infographic was released very late as they were trying to contact the positive cases first.
