Belize City man chopped during home invasion

By BBN Staff: A Belize City man is receiving medical treatment for severe chop wounds, after an early morning home invasion.

The man identified as Trevor Gill, was reportedly sleeping on the sofa inside his nephew’s house around 3:55 a.m., when an intruder entered the house and inflicted severe chop wounds to his head and hands.

His nephew, Michaell Gladden responded to his cries for help and took Gill to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Authorities say that no weapon was found on the scene.
