Belize shaken after 5.7 magnitude earthquake off Honduras

By Aaron Humes: Breaking Belize News has confirmed a magnitude 5.7 earthquake off the north coast of Honduras a few minutes ago.

At approximately 8:13 a.m., shaking could be felt for a few minutes here in Belize City and across Belize.

The location of the quake is 307 kilometers east of Belmopan, and northeast of Roatan island in the Gulf of Honduras.

This area previously saw a tremor in January of 2018 and also in 2010.

We are awaiting further analysis and confirmation but there have been no reports of damages or injuries in Belize, neighbouring Guatemala nor Honduras.
