By BBN Staff: The latest weather report prepared by the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that an incoming tropical wave will support moist and unstable weather conditions today.
The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy skies with some showers and a few thunderstorms over most areas today, then mostly over southern and some coastal areas tonight.
Today’s temperature highs will range from 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 90 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 77 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
Winds will be gusty, blowing East between 10-20 knots and the sea state will be moderate to rough.
“A flood warning is in effect for residents along rivers and streams in the south and west of the country. A flood watch remains in effect for low lying and flood-prone areas,” the Met Service said. “A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms.”
Low time will occur at 8:59 and high tide will come in 2:31 p.m.
The sun will set at 6:21 p.m. and the moon will rise at 6:35 p.m.
