By BBN Staff: The House of Representatives is scheduled to meet this Friday, August 14, 2020 amid a major spike in COVID-19 cases in Belize.

There is no indication yet as to what will be on the agenda, but Government may be considering new measures to restrict the spread of COVID-19 in Belize. There may also be new loan motions tabled to access much needed US dollars and to assist the country with COVID-19 recovery efforts. While both  major political parties have intensified their online campaigns, general elections are also on the horizon, but there is no indication whether the elections will be on the agenda.

The sitting will commence at 10 a.m. in Belmopan.

Breaking Belize News will be there to cover the proceedings.
