COVID-19 patient airlifted from San Pedro; taken to Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital

By BBN Staff: According to our colleagues at The San Pedro Sun, a patient that tested positive for COVID-19 was airlifted from the island this morning via air ambulance.

The patient is reportedly being taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hopsital following complications since the patient is a diabetic.

The patient will be in isolated at the COVID-19 unit at the KHMH.

San Pedro, Ambergris Caye has now a total of 134 confirmed cases of the virus.

The public is urged to adhere to the regulations, wear your face masks and practice social distancing.
