By BBN Staff: The Office of the Director of Health Services issued a statement warning of scam messages on WhatsApp and via text messages.
The Ministry is informing the public that such messages are not originating from the Ministry of Health or public health inspectors.
“We are launching an investigation but we cannot, at this stage, be caught up in this malicious mischief which doesn’t help anyone. This also takes away time and energy from health staff as we investigate this and rectify the information for patients as a result of this malicious text,” the DHS said.
The fake text message purporting to be from health inspectors pretends to issue test results.
