Ministry of Health will not issue individual COVID-19 results

By BBN Staff: Director of Health Services Dr. Marvin Manzanero said that despite numerous requests from the public, the Ministry of Health will not be issuing the names of COVID-19 positive cases.

Manzanero, speaking on today’s session of Ask the Experts, said that residents in various communities have been asking the Ministry to divulge the names of anyone in their area that have tested positive, while employers are requesting the test results of their employees.

“That’s not the way it works, we will not be issuing the names of anyone, unless we feel that there has been reckless behavior,” Manzanero said.

He added that he sees no value in calling out individuals specifically for being infected.
