By BBN Staff: The latest weather report prepared by the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that an increase in shower activity is expected later today and tonight.

The 24-hour forecast calls for  sunny skies with a few cloudy spells today becoming cloudy tonight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will occur mostly over southern and coastal areas later this afternoon, then increasing over most areas tonight. 

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 95 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East-Northeast between 05-15 knots and the sea state will be light chop.

Low tide will occur at 1:23 p.m. and high tide will come at 7:29 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:18 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 2:04 a.m.
