Statistical Institute of Belize closes office amid COVID-19

By Aaron Humes: The Statistical Institute of Belize (SIB) has announced the closure of all of its offices due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the local surge.

All employees will work from home until further notice and interviews for the upcoming Labour Force Survey and other data collection will be done by telephone as face to face meetings are banned for now.

The SIB will continue to publish monthly statistics and make itself available for queries, and the quarterly press conference will be done virtually.
