Department of Environment closes offices temporarily for sanitizing

Posted: Monday, August 17, 2020. 3:25 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: In order to safeguard the staff and public during this current wave of COVID-19, the Department of the Environment (DOE) informed that it will be temporarily closed on August 17 & 18, 2020 in order to clean and sanitize its office space.

The DOE says that it is a precautionary measure and is in line with its COVID-19 Preparedness Plan.

The DOE notes that services will continue online.

“We apologize for any inconvenience that may arise, but this is a necessary preventative measure to reduce the risk of exposure to our personnel and our clients to COVID-19,” the DOE noted.

The DOE thanks the public for its understanding and cooperation at this time and continues to encourage everyone to put precautionary measures in place to protect the health and safety of all.
