By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health (MOH) reported another 34 cases of COVID-19 today, the bulk of which are patients in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.

Dr. Marvin Manzanero, Director of Health Services, noted at the end of today’s Ask the Experts, that 29 of the 34 cases are recorded in San Pedro, once case in Belize City and four are in Belmopan,

He also noted that three of the four in Belmopan are related to a previously identified case, and one person does not seem to have a relation to any known case.

Manzanero also noted that of the current active cases, six are hospitalized at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) with three of them showing different levels of respiratory distress. He said that information on the patients suggest that if their progress continues at the current pace, they should be discharged by the end of the week, and one person was discharged today.
