“Unstable weather coming,” says Met Service

By BBN Staff: The latest weather report prepared by the National Meteorological Service of Belize says that generally moist and unstable conditions will occur today with some improvements expected tonight and over the next couple of days.

The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy skies this morning with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over the southern districts and along some coastal areas. Sunny skies with cloudy spells this afternoon and partly cloudy skies tonight with showers and thunderstorms being isolated.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 96 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 79 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be light and variable and the sea state will be slight.

High tide will come in at 9:03 a.m. and low tide will occur at 4:15 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:30 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 6:04 a.m.
