Coast Guard officer tests positive for COVID-19

By BBN Staff: A second officer from the Belize Coast Guard has tested positive for COVID-19.

The officer is reportedly in quarantine.

The Ministry of Health confirmed on Tuesday that more front line workers had tested positive including health staff.

As of today, August 19th 2020, Belize is monitoring 511 active cases of Covid-19.

Health officials are urging the public to maintain social distancing, practice good hand hygiene, and properly wear masks at all times in public settings.
