KHMH staff COVID-19 tests came back negative

Posted: Wednesday, August 19, 2020. 8:02 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: The Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) announced today that the COVID-19 test results for staff members who were tested this week have all come back negative.

The KHMH explained that the staffers were tested as a part of routine contact tracing for an exposed patient, but that they will still be kept off of the job until their quarantine period is over.

The KHMH also explained that its management is currently monitoring the COVID-19 isolation unit, to enact an emergency plan should the number of patients that require ventilation exceeds the unit’s capacity (5 patients).

In that event, the KHMH will enact its emergency plan which will see patients isolated in the Specialist Outpatient Clinic. The Hospital said that all staff members and the general public will be informed if that measure has to be enacted.
