Belmopan City receives two ambulances and compactor truck from Taiwan

By BBN Staff: The Government of Taiwan donated two ambulances and a compactor truck to the City of Belmopan.

A virtual handing over ceremony was held on August 19th, 2020 with Remus Li-Kuo Chen Ambassador of Taiwan and Mayor Khalid Belisle.         

“Today’s handover ceremony represents the spirit of friendliness the people and the Government of the ROC (Taiwan) have in continuing to provide humanitarian and medical assistance to the country of Belize,” the council stated.

Belisle thanked the Government of Taiwan for this donation to foster a stronger relationship with its ally Belize.
