By BBN Staff: The National Hurricane Center is closely monitoring newly formed Tropical Depression 14 in the Caribbean Sea.
As of this morning, gradual strengthening was forecasted as TD14 approaches the northwestern Caribbean Sea.
Interests in Honduras and the Yucatan Peninsula should closely monitor the progress of TD14.
Tropical depression 14 is forecasted to produce heavy rains across a large portion of Central America and southeastern Mexico late this week and this weekend.
The tropical moisture that accompanies it will enhance showers and thunderstorms across parts of Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala, Belize and southeastern Mexico.
An Air Force Reserve reconnaissance aircraft is scheduled to investigate the disturbance system later today and another update will be provided.
