Tropical Storm Watch issued for Honduras as Tropical Depression14 approaches

By BBN Staff: The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is issuing advisories for newly formed Tropical Depression 14 in the Caribbean Sea.

The Government of Honduras has issued a tropical storm watch for the coast of Honduras from the Honduras/ Nicaragua border westward to Punta Castilla and for the Bay islands of Honduras.

A tropical storm watch means that tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area in the next 36 hours.

The NHC says that additional watches and warnings including for the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico may be required later today.

Tropical Depression 14 is forecasted to produce heavy rains across  a large portion of Central America and southeastern Mexico late this week and this weekend.
