“Showers expected throughout the day,” says Met Service

The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Met Service) says that shower activity is expected to gradually increase as a tropical wave approaches the country.

The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy at times today with isolated showers and isolated thunderstorms then mostly cloudy tonight with a few showers, periods of rain and thunderstorms especially over the north and along the coast.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 96 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East-Northeast between 05-15 knots and the sea state will be light chop to choppy.

High tide will come in at 11:32 a.m. and low tide will occur at 6:07 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:14 p.m. and the moon rose today at 8:06 a.m.
