National Meteorological Service: Flood watch in effect for Northern Belize

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service has issued an advisory for the possibility of flooding near rivers in the North.

Moist and unstable weather conditions are expected.

The 24-hour forecast is for sunny skies with a few cloudy spells and some isolated showers.

More showers are expected over inland areas tonight especially in Northern Belize.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 97 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas.

 The extended forecast is for a few showers and thunderstorms.
