Posted: Monday, August 24, 2020. 5:19 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: Owner of Chon Saan Palace and United Democratic Party (UDP) standard bearer for Caribbean Shores, Lee Mark Chang, has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a statement released a short while ago by Chon Saan Palace, Chang tested positive over the weekend, prompting the restaurant to close temporarily for sanitization.

“The sanitizing of the restaurant is being done in an overabundance of caution as a result of Lee Mark Chang testing positive over the weekend for COVID-19 after showing minor symptoms 9 days ago. Lee Mark is currently in isolation and has not been to the restaurant since 16 August,” Chon Saan said.

The restaurant’s management said that it will continue to follow health and safety protocols established by the  Ministry of Health and encourages its customers and all Belizeans to adhere to the safety guidelines issued by authorities.
