Pregnant “border jumper” gave birth at Punta Gorda Town Hospital

By Aaron Humes: A Belizean woman who had apparently gone across the border for unknown reasons returned to give birth here, our colleagues at PGTV have confirmed.

We understand that a police officer gave assistance to get the woman to the Punta Gorda Town Hospital this morning.

Presumably health and police authorities will get involved to investigate potential violations of the State of Emergency regulations by those involved. Those investigations if any are ongoing.
