Sister of San Felipe’s COVID-19 victim Natalio Wicab dies of breathing complications

By BBN Staff: Tely Cruz, the sister of Natalio Wicab who died yesterday due to complications associated with COVID-19, passed away tonight. Tely Cruz was 50 years of age and her brother 63 year old Natalio Wicab was diagnosed with COVID-19 post mortem.

Cruz reportedly passed away due to breathing complications. Her COVID-19 status is not known; Breaking Belize News (BBN) has reached out to the Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero, to confirm was swabbed as part of the contact tracing exercise or testing of patients with COVID-19 related symptoms.

Wicab was an employee of Caribbean Chicken in Blue Creek. The company has since closed all its branches for sanitization and is adhering to the rules and contact tracing by the Ministry of Health.

Family members of Cruz and Wicab lost 2 members of their family between yesterday and today and have taken to social media to express their sorrow.
