Popular artist saves vendor from being robbed

By BBN Staff: Earlier today, popular Belizean artist Alex Sanker reportedly saved a tamales vendor who was being robbed.

Sanker made a video following the incident showing the injured vendor and explaining that he was being robbed by two youths. Sanker said he took a stick from inside his painting studio and ran to the vendor’s aid when he heard the commotion. He noted that the young men ran off without their bicycles but threatened to return to harm him. Sanker says that he is unafraid.

“This needs to stop!” He said in the emotionally charged explicit video. “They have no excuse!”

Police were reportedly called to the scene following the incident.
