By BBN Staff: Today, Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams met with Belizean artist Alex Sanker to commend and thank him for his act of bravery.

On Tuesday, Sanker acted swiftly and assisted a vendor who was being attacked and assaulted by two thieves.

His video quickly went viral with many Belizeans thanking him for stepping in to help.

“Thank you Mr.Sanker for your act of bravery and dedication to our great nation Belize. We are proud of you for defending the helpless who could not have defended himself,” a statement from the Belize Police Department said.
