“Gradual increase in shower activity expected,” says Met Service

The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Met Service) says that a gradual increase in shower activity is expected over the next 24 hours.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with some cloudy spells today and cloudy skies at times tonight. A few showers and isolated thunderstorms will affect coastal Toledo and Stann Creek districts this morning and tonight, while inland areas of the country will be affected this afternoon. Only isolated showers are expected elsewhere.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 95 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 82 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 82 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 75 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East-Southeast between 10-20 knots and the sea state will be moderate.

Low tide will begin at 11:02 a.m. and high tide will come in at 5:23 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:10 p.m. and the moon will rise at 1:06 a.m.
