Lord Ashcroft COVID-19 relief fund donates $20,000 to The Belize Zoo

By BBN Staff: The Belize Zoo and Tropical Education Center has been proudly serving Belize for over 37 years.

Over 86,000 people visit the best little zoo in the world annually.

The measures brought forth by the state of emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic has severly impacted the zoo’s income stream.

The Belize Zoo is keeping open by donations to keep the staff employed and feed the animals.

The Belize Zoo reached out to the community and the Lord Ashcroft COVID-19 relief fund for assistance.

Being deeply committed to the protection of animals and wildlife around the world, Lord Ashcroft made a commitment to donate $20,000 to the zoo.

Chairman of the Lord Ashcroft COVID-19 relief fund, Lyndon Guiseppi handed over the cheque to representative of the Belize Zoo management team, Celso Poot.

Poot expressed gratitude for the generous donation and shared that it will be used for care and nutrition of over 200 animals.
