Courts outlet in Buttonwood Bay, Belize City, temporarily closed as employee tests positive for COVID-19

By BBN Staff: Unicomer (Belize) Limited issued a statement today informing that one of its employees of a Courts outlet store in Belize City has tested positive for COVID-19.

The company says that the patient has been in self isolation.

“We have consulted the Ministry of Health and as a precaution, the Courts Outlet store located at 1642 Buttonwood Bay Boulevard, Belize City, will be closed today, Saturday, August 29th, 2020 to allow for additional sanitization of the premises. It will remain closed until further notice. This is to safeguard the welfare of our employees, customers and wider community,” the company said.

All other Courts stores are open and in full operation.

The company encouraged the public to engage in:

  • Frequent hand-washing
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Coughing or sneezing into a tissue or your elbow
  • Practice social distancing
