Belize in the projected path of weather system that could become hurricane

By BBN Staff: The latest tropical update from the United States National Hurricane Center (NHC) puts Belize in the projected path of a weather system that has between a 40-60 percent chance of becoming a hurricane.

The NHC’s midday report showed three active weather systems being monitored, with the first being near Florida, which has an above 60 percent chance of becoming a hurricane but is projected to head back into the Eastern Pacific. The second is located west of the lesser Antilles and has its projected path headed straight for Belize. The third system is tropical depression Iselle which is expected to weaken and become a remnant low later today.
