By Aaron Humes: A Benque Viejo Town-based business is donating to the youngest of our population in order to help alleviate the financial burden on families during the ongoing pandemic.

International Lubricants of Belize Limited in collaboration with Chevron, their parent company is donating a total of 200 school bags to Belizean students countrywide.

Last week, eighty school bags were donated to the Independence Village Council, Independence Primary School, Hope Creek Methodist School and the village of Steadfast sports and events committee. Making the handovers were ILB’s commercial director Carlos Vega; administrative manager Tristan Aldana; and senior sales executive Gilroy Spence.

The remainder will be distributed to schools in the Corozal, Orange Walk and Cayo Districts as soon as the current situation with increased cases of COVID-19 slows down.

The company says this will be its annual contribution as a corporate partner in making a difference in Belize.

International Lubricants of Belize Limited is currently owned and managed by Vega’s Group of Companies. It has been providing lubricants, oils, and grease across the country since November 2011, and is the country distributor for Havoline and Ursa products.
