Met Service: Expect fair weather today

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Met Service) says that the country will experience fair weather conditions for most of today with some changes tonight.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny with cloudy spells this morning along with showers or thunderstorms. Showers and thunderstorms will increase over the north this afternoon and then spread southward later this evening and tonight as Tropical  Storm Nana approaches the country.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 95 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 82 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be gusty; blowing East Northeast between 05-15 knots and the sea state will be slight.

High tide will come in at 9:57 a.m. and low tide will begin at 4:17 p.m.

The sun will set at 6:05 p.m. and the moon will rise at 6:45 p.m.
