Met Service issues flood warning for communities near rivers as tropical wave approaches

By BBN Staff: The National Meteorological Service of Belize has issued a flood warning for communities near rivers and streams especially in Southern Belize. The flood warning is also for low lying and flood prone areas around the country.

The 24-hour forecast is for moist and unstable conditions to continue across the country as a tropical wave approaches.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 84 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 78 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

The extended forecast for Saturday is for a few showers and thunderstorms.
