By BBN Staff: The National Hurricane System (NHC) is monitoring two systems in the tropical eastern Atlantic Ocean.
The NHC says that shower activity has become less organized in association with a trough of low pressure located about midway between the west coast of Africa and the Windward Islands.
Development of the system is not expected as it will be hindered by a tropical wave located a few hundred miles to its east.
The second system is a tropical wave and area of low pressure located over the eastern tropical Atlantic. The system continues to produce a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms.
The system is forecasted to develop to a tropical depression as it moves westward to west-northwestward.
The system may strengthen as it reaches the central tropical Atlantic.
There is a 90 percent chance of formation within the next 5 days.
