The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Met Service) says that weather conditions will be moist and unstable today.
The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly cloudy with some showers, periods of rain, and a few thunderstorms mainly along southern coastal areas this morning, then decreasing this afternoon and tonight.
Today’s temperature highs will range from 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 90 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 77 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 79 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 73 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.
Winds will be gusty; blowing East Northeast between 05-15 knots and the sea state will be light chop to rough.
“A flood warning remains in effect for communities near rivers and streams especially in the south as well as low-lying and flood-prone areas elsewhere. – a small craft caution remains in effect for gusty winds and occasionally rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms,” the Met Service said.
Low tide began at 6:36 a.m. and high tide will come in at 12:27 p.m.
The sun will set at 6:01 p.m. and the moon will rise at 9:03 p.m.
