Ministry of Health: 46 new cases of COVID-19 identified

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health informed today that of the 262 samples processed, 46 samples returned positive.

The preliminary breakdown is as follows:

Corozal – 7 (5 Patchakan, 2 Caledonia)

Orange Walk District – 6 (2 Chan Pine Ridge, 2 Orange Walk Town, 1 Trial Farm, 1 San Felipe)

Belize District – 12 (1 San Pedro, 5 Caye Caulker, 6 Belize City)

Cayo District – 20 (4 Belmopan, 7 San Jose Succotz, 4 San Ignacio, 4 Santa Elena, 1 Benque Viejo)

Toledo District – 1 in Punta Gorda.

According to The Ministry of Health, 13 more patients have recovered from the virus.

There are now 977 active cases of COVID-19 in Belize.
