Two storms in the Eastern Pacific, Belize in the clear for the next few days

Posted: Wednesday, September 9, 2020. 6:58 pm CST.

By BBN Staff: There are currently two named storms, Paulette and Rene, in the Eastern Pacific, but the Central Pacific is not expected to see any
storm activity within the next 48 hours, according to the latest data from the United States National Hurricane Center (NHC).

Forecasters say Tropical Storm Paulette is expected to weaken over the weekend but then could strengthen early next week; meanwhile, Tropical Storm Rene is showing little change in strength.

There are two weather systems located North-Northeast of the Lesser Antilles that have a below 40 percent chance of becoming a hurricane, but forecasters are still closely monitoring those systems.
