Mostly sunny skies expected today

By BBN Staff: The latest weather report from the National Meteorological Service of Belize (Met Service) says that skies will be mostly sunny today as generally fair weather prevails.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with cloudy spells today and only partly cloudy skies tonight. Showers or thunderstorms will be isolated, with slightly more affecting the Maya Mountains this afternoon and the extreme south tonight.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 96 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 82 degrees Fahrenheit
in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 74 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 68 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East between 05-15 knots and the sea state will be slight.

Low tide will begin at 10:30 a.m. and high tide will come in at 4:43 p.m.

The sun will set at 5:58 p.m. and the moon will rise at 11:52 p.m.
