COVID-19 Update: 36 new cases identified

By BBN Staff: Data from the Ministry of Health indicate that of the 304 samples processed today, 36 new samples returned positive for COVID-19.

The preliminary breakdown is as follows:

Corozal District –  4 (1 Concepcion, 2 Xaibe, 1 from Cristo Rey Cayo)

Orange Walk  District – 7 (4 OW Town, 2 San Pablo, 1 August Pine Ridge)

Belize District –  23 (5 City, 5 Ladyville, 4 San Pedro,  2 Sand Hill, 1 Lords Bank, 1 Caye Caulker, 5 from OW).

Cayo District –  1 (Santa Familia)

Toledo – 1 (Crique Jute)

Forty-four more patients recovered from the virus.

The Ministry urges everyone to take all necessary precautions to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
