Tropic Air’s Corozal office closes temporarily after employee tests positive for COVID-19

By BBN Staff: Tropic Air informed today that in prioritizing the health and wellness of all staff and customers, the Corozal station will be closed temporarily effective immediately.

“We can confirm that a team member from our Corozal station has tested positive for Covid-19 and is in self-isolation,” Tropic said in a statement.

Tropic Air says that it is consulting with the Ministry of Health and as a precaution the station will be closed to allow for additional sanitization of the premises and staff health screening.

It will remain closed until further notice.

All other stations are open and operating normally.

The company encourage everyone to continuously engage in preventive activities which include:

Frequent hand-washing

Use of face coverings

Avoid touching your face

Practice social distancing

Seek medical attention if you have flu-like symptoms
