Ministry of Health: 36 new cases of Covid-19 identified

By BBN Staff: Yesterday, The Ministry of Health processed 304 samples of Covid-19. 

Thirty six new cases were identified and the preliminary breakdown is as follows:

Corozal District – 4 (1 Concepcion, 2 Xaibe, 1 from Cristo Rey, Cayo)

Orange Walk District – 7 (4 Orange Walk Town, 2 San Pablo, 1 August Pine Ridge)

Belize District – 23 (5 Belize City, 5 Ladyville, 4 San Pedro, 2 Sand Hill, 1 Lords Bank, 1 Caye Caulker, 5 from Orange Walk).

Cayo District – 1 (Santa Familia)

Toledo – 1 (Crique Jute)

According to health officials, 44 persons recovered from the virus yesterday.

The Ministry of Health urges everyone to remain safe and stay home.

So far, Belize has recorded 1,435 Covid-19 cases and and 19 deaths.
