By BBN Staff: The Belize Brain Awareness Society (BBAS) and Autism Belize are teaming up to host an information session on managing distanced learning with an emphasis on special needs children.
The session will be live-streamed on the Facebook pages of both organizations on Monday, September 14, at 6:30 p.m.
The BBAS explained that the session is geared towards giving parents, guardians and tutors a guide to assist with the home-based learning packages issued by schools.
“Not only are parents facing the pandemic but having to cope with their child’s learning remote package has now rendered another weight on their shoulder. So as to partnering organizations that hear these cries constantly, we decided to have a shared live with professionals to better aid this solution,” the BBAS said.
For years, both the BBAS and Autism Belize have been working to raise awareness about issues pertaining to their specific focus and creating support networks for persons who are either affected by or are loved ones of those affected by those respective issues.
