COVID-19 Update: 21 new cases identified

By BBN Staff: Data from the Ministry of Health indicate that of the 169 tests processed today, 21 new cases of COVID-19 were identified.

The geographic breakdown is as follows:

– Belize District – 14 (13 in Caye Caulker, 1 in Belize City)

– Cayo District – 7 (5 San Ignacio, 2 Belmopan)

The country has now registered 1501 confirmed cases of the virus.

Forty eight more patients recovered today.

A total of 62.8% of COVID-19 cases remain active.

The Ministry urges the public to continue to exercise all prevention measures in our day to day lives.
