COVID-19 update: 8 new cases identified

By BBN Staff: The Ministry of Health’s data for today indicate that of the 133 samples processed, 8 were positive for COVID-19.

The country has now registered 1536 confirmed cases of the virus.

The preliminary breakdown is as follows:

Corozal District – 1in Concepcion

Cayo District – 1 in San Ignacio

Stann Creek – 1 in San Roman

Belize District – 2 in San Pedro, 2 in Caye Caulker and 1 in the city.

Thrity three more patients have recovered.

A total of 696 patients have recovered so far in Belize.

The Ministry of Health continues to urge the public to adhere to all precautionary measures to avoid the spread of the virus.
