Weather: Hot and occasionally wet conditions persist

By Aaron Humes: The National Meteorological Service says warm, relatively moist and unstable conditions persist countrywide.

Skies today will be sunny with cloudy spells at times, with the clouds continuing tonight. Some showers and thunderstorms will develop inland and over the South tonight, isolated elsewhere.

Winds are from the east to southeast at 5 to 10 knots and sea state is slight.

Temperatures will reach 91 degrees along the coast, 97 inland and 86 in the hills, then fall to 78 along the coast tonight, 74 inland and 68 in the hills.

Tides will be high at 8:37 a.m. and 9:53 p.m. and low at 3:41 p.m. this afternoon.

The Sun sets at 5:53 p.m. this evening and rises at 5:41 a.m. Thursday morning.

Fair weather continues countrywide on Thursday with some cloudy spells and development of showers inland and the South.
