By Aaron Humes: Don’t ask her about politics. But activist Karen Banner, running for the Belize Progressive Party in Belize Rural North, says she is ready to serve even without being elected.
But she wants to be, and if she is elected, residents of the North will have increased access to land for agriculture, education programs for technical and vocational services and the return of the sewing factory to the area.
Closing arguments were provided by Yohnny Rosado to endorse the BPP and Rogers, pointing out that if the favored Opposition wins as the UDP in 2008 did, there will not be any real change because the system is the same.
