Almost 700 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Belize

By BBN Staff: A total of 696 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Belize. Director of Health Services, Dr. Marvin Manzanero said that the evidence so far suggests that females are recovering faster than males.

The Ministry of Health continues to conduct testing countrywide. Up to date, a total of 11,958 tests have been done.

The country has now registered 1,536 confirmed cases of the virus and at the moment there are 821 active cases being monitored. 

Nineteen people have lost their lives to COVID-19 in Belize. Thirteen of the patients who died are men and six are women.

The Ministry of Health continues to urge the public to adhere to all safety protocols and take all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
